seasons of new england is about bringing local producers and artisans together and providing a forum for the rest of us to enjoy what they have to offer. Based in Uralla, we draw first and foremost from the New England Region for our talent. And there is plenty of talent to go around.
Our line up of producers includes local vintners, brewers, bakers, patissiers, jam makers, free range producers and organic growers. The cool climate of the New England lends itself to the growing of a diverse range of produce, from any number of varieties of berries, apples and pears, to a range of grapes that produce some award winning wines, champagnes and ports. The region is also famous for producing excellent lamb, beef and goat products, all of which lend themselves to the making of a great meal - something we love to together at different venues in and around Uralla and the New England.
The range of talented artisans is enormous, and growing constantly as people seek out quality handmade products over mass produced options. Our focus is on bringing together talented artists, designers, stylists, craftspeople and gourmets (so yes, more food!), so you can enjoy browsing. If it is something for the garden, for the home, for the children or just for you, you are sure to find it at our annual Expo.
Whether you are looking for a hamper with a difference, a wander around a gourmet market or a case of something special from the New England, keep an eye on us - like us on facebook and follow along on instagram for news and updates and join us whenever you can.
In the lead up to Xmas 2019 Tara was contacted about putting together some hampers from across the Seasons of New England network as part of the NSW governments Buy Regional campaign. It was all about supporting regional communities after years of drought. Because Seasons of New England had always delivered hampers and corporate gifts Tara immediately said yes and put together 3 hampers at different price points to list online. The initial thought of around 50 hampers became 2,500 hampers in just 8 weeks, with 1,500 being packed in one day by the Uralla community and delivered in person by Andrew and son Jacob to 5 businesses in Sydney. The economic impact for the businesses and communities involved was powerful and we are so grateful that the Smart Region Incubator at UNE helped capture this with a video by David Waugh. One of the producers involved was even featured on the ASX indicator board as part of their Xmas message.
