Uralla is incredibly accessible - by car, train, bus or plane. Train - Countrylink trains arrive in Uralla at approximately 5.12pm each day from Central (Sydney), coming through other major centres including Broadmeadow (Newcastle), Tamworth and Walcha Rd. Return journeys also depart daily at 8.56am. Car - Uralla is located on the New England Hwy and is at the junction of two major north - south routes. For those travelling along the New England Hwy, Uralla is almost exactly halfway between Sydney and Brisbane. For those using the Thunderbolt's Way via Gloucester, Uralla is approximately halfway between Port Stephens and Goondiwindi. For people travelling from Port Macquarie, or from Coffs Harbour (via the Waterfall Way), Uralla is approximately 2 1/2 hours drive.
